Julie and JT – A Georgetown Wedding – Photos

Julie and JT had a great wedding down in Georgetown D.C. this Winter! Several of the guests at the wedding are past clients of mine, and friends, and it was an honor being called on to do their wedding photography yet again. This post has LOTS of photos folks, so get ready for some viewing! I haven’t blogged in a bit and I had a hard time cutting photos out of this post. Julie and JT paid attention to every detail and had some great stylistic elements in their wedding. We even got to stroll into Georgetown itself for some great portraits.

The wedding was at this cool little chapel right across from the Ritz Carlton where they were staying and getting ready. Just before that though, we had our little stroll into Georgetown for some beautiful portraits. My personal favorite from those might be the shots in front of the Papa Razzi restaurant, just because I thought it was cool shooting Julie and JT from a distance like stars, ha! The reception was at The Sequoia restaurant and the staff and service there were top-notch. Julie and JT’s guests were even awesome and they took over my camera for a second to include me in one of their group shots, nice! I could go on and on, but you’ll just have to scroll on down and see it all for yourself.

Sara and Ron – Wedding Photos

OK, so if you saw the sneak peek for Sara and Ron’s wedding you know that there were some crazy storms that night. What I loved the most about their wedding was that even though these storms derailed Sara and Ron’s plans to have their ceremony take place outdoors at Strong Mansion, it didn’t dampen their spirits one bit. I mean, look at the smiles on their faces! And as usual I didn’t let a little bad weather prevent me from venturing out onto the grounds with Sara and Ron in between showers. We got some amazing shots just at dusk. Then there’s the kick-ass bouquet that Sara made for herself. It was made entirely of different kinds of broaches… a one of a kind piece that I haven’t seen before!

Oh, and these guys know how to party. Big Romeo had the crowd going all night long, they were truly a great, great live band. Sara, Ron, and guests even performed the Thriller choreography. Check it out!

Kata and Ned – Sneak Peek

Here are just a few wedding photos from Kata and Ned’s special day at the Walters Art Museum in Baltimore. We had a great afternoon walking around Mt. Vernon doing some portraits before the ceremony, and there were some cool opportunities for some photos in the Walters Art galleries as well. Lot’s of gorgeous shots from their wedding so stay tuned for the full post from theirs.

My Wedding Photography Goes International

Well, I haven’t gone international just yet, but my photos have at least.

I’m still catching up on blogging about a bunch of my 2010 weddings. In the meantime I wanted to share this though. I recently was contacted by a wedding blog from France that wanted to show some of my photos. They found some shots online from a wedding I did for Joe and Jess (their post coming…) and asked if they could feature them on their blog called Le Petit Journal Des Maraiges Retro here. Cool huh?

Joe and Jess had a super unique wedding and it has been noticed in a couple of places on Offbeat Bride too.

Wish I could read the French blog, but it looks like two years of Francais in high school isn’t helping me out too much. Maybe some of you will have better luck!

Amanda and Patrick

I’ve had the honor of photographing weddings with many different kinds of religious settings, including lots of Jewish weddings, but Amanda and Patrick hired me to photograph what became my first Orthodox Jewish wedding. It was really beautiful and there were some powerful moments that I was honored to witness. One of my favorite moments was a very moving ritual called the veiling. It was intense! I loved getting to see these (new to me) aspects to a Jewish wedding, and Amanda and Patrick were great to work with. Thanks guys!

Some photos from Liz and Kelly’s wedding at the Corpus Christie Church in Baltimore and their reception at the Louisiana restaurant. Before the ceremony we met up at Louisiana and then took a shuttle on over to the Washington Monument for some photos too.
